ABOUT MS. MAIER

Ms. Maier grew up in Johnson City, TN and started her musical career at the age of 4 when her parents put her in piano lessons.  In middle school, her love of music grew when she joined band and began playing flute.  During high school Ms. Maier performed with the marching and concert band and was able to perform in Carnegie Hall in New York City, as well as marching in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadina, CA.

While there she performed in many ensembles including Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Women's Choir, Marching Band, Flute Choir, Pit Orchestra for the Opera, and a woodwind quintet.    These ensembles allowed Ms. Maier to perform again in Carnegie Hall in NY, as well as Austin, TX for a Nation Choral Association Conference, Greensboro, NC for a National Band Association conference, and tour around CHINA! She also performed with the UK Symphony orchestra for the opening ceremony for the first World Equestrian Games to ever be held in the United States.

When she is not in school or playing music, Ms. Maier likes to visit her parents in Tennessee. She also likes to cook, bake, read, watch netflix, and eat. When she has time, she likes to visit museums, aquariums, and dye her hair funny colors.

She lives in Chicago, IL with her awesome and chubby cat Olive.
